    windshield washer t Valve

okay, my windshield washer jets isnt working properly. The t valve is constantly shooting off from the over flow pressure holes from the side and not releasing from the actual hole leading to the jets. I have tried couple used t valves and they are all kind of doing the same thing.

Is this a wear parts that just needs to be replaced? or should I be looking for other culprits. I know its only 7 bucks for a new one, but I'm just wondering what could be causing this and if anyone else has the experience. Or is it jsut a replacement would fix? Thanks in advance.

...just replace it with a new one. Mine went and i tried just an open T-connector from the hardware store. Not the best results as there is some sort of pressure reducing going on there. Mine is a bit too powerful with the open T.

The 'T' connector is a check valve. Without it the fluid will take a few seconds to flow, and dirt is more likely to be clog the system.

Many that I see in the boneyard are pretty degraded, likely from the type of washer fluid used. A new one is $5-$10.

ive gone through so many of those things. and have decided to go back to the Y connector (or T).

3.99 at ace hardware, and im happy.
ive been through too many of those going south at the wrong time. with a Y connection, i always get clean windows.
