hello all! i guess ive found the right place for this project, i saved this e30 from the junk yard two years ago, i just got around to putting a new junk yard motor in it. ive been in the autobody business for over 20 years and have never owned a toy car, so when this came in with a blown motor i knew i had to have it. i know my photo's kind of stink but i haven't been properly documenting what ive been doing....duh... so i will take some more photo's later, this car has NO rot in it, its never been painted anywhere, as a matter of fact the orginal cosmoline was still all over the engine compartment.

fireing it up

so far i have less than 1000$ in this project, eventually im going to pull the seats and carpet, apparently over the last winter a mousy decided that the glove box would make a wonderful home so the inside of the car has the distinctive funk of mouse piss, the drivers' seat is all tore up (190k will do that) but i think for the time being im just going to put seat covers on them.
i drove it around the block on saturday, after i hooked up the exhaust, the motor seems to be running perfectly. it shifts fine and kind of stops, there's two years worth of rust on the rotors so they are going to get replaced with some up graded ones.
now for the tech question of the day..... my power windows seem to have quit working. ive done all the "basic trouble shooting" from the switches, to the breaker switch on the dash, i have no power to either side of the breaker, ive checked the fuses, and if i back feed the power in wire (bright green with a blue tracer) with 12v the driver's window works, the sunroof works, but the passengers window doesn't work (im assuming that the motor on that side is just locked up from sitting, i will eventually give it an obligatory whack with a hammer at a later date, there is power to the motor) also it will power fuse #17, this fuse is not powered other wise.
now, ive checked this forum and a few others, there is mention of a "comfort relay) i cannot find this relay and i dont have proper map of the fuse box. (yes my Bentley is on the way) other wise what am i missing or were is the relay to power the circuit? ive chased the wires as far as i can with out getting truly midevil on it.
so.... were do i go?
and thanks in advance, i promise better photos.
