After sunroof delete, any option for headliner or alternative?

So my sunroof doesn't work (manual crank is messed up), I'm pretty tall so I would love the extra headroom, and it's like 40-50lbs of top heavy weight. It is a DD but will be more like a track car once I'm done! My 540i is my "comfort" car...

I'm going to be following this thread for the sunroof delete proceedure:

But after the fact, I would like SOMETHING up top if possible, so what are you thoughts? Is there anything I can do to make it look a little better?

    Thanks guys!

Here is a picture of what it looks like after the fact(stolen pic, sorry I forgot his s/n):

I dont know what to tell you about your headliner other than fk it. But... I want to know what you did to cover the hole. I'm trying to get my sunroof hole covered now. Help?
I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

Well I haven't done it yet. I stole that picture from another thread... But from what it sounds like there is enough lip on the edges that you can use the original sunroof panel and screw it to the lip on the sides. And then obviously seal it up w/ a silicone of some kind.

Also w/ the stock sunroof panel, there are 2 parts too it, and you want to seperate those because of the added weight.

I will tackle it in the next few weeks so I will have a better answer then but what I said above is what I've read on here...
