Cruise Control Diagnosing, where to go after fuses and switches

It hasn't worked since I bought the car. ONLY thing that doesn't work and bugs me.

Going to start with the fuses obviously. After that the brake/clutch switches. After that, where do I go, to the unit itself? I was behind the gauge cluster last weekend and didn't notice any wires unplugged from the green plug but I will check there as well.

Also there's a yellow or orange 2 plug connector that is coming off the cruise module under the hood. Is this a test plug or should it be plugged in somewhere?

Sometimes the rt brake light bulb is the culprit if it does not have a good connection. Sandpaper and dielectric grease are your friends. Also CC computer could be bad. I have one if you need!
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!
