    What's the compression ratio......

For a friend looking into a turbo project.

Basically trying to think of the best way to get an eta, turbo it, and make the most of i components.

And what about the eta bottom with a 323 head? Compression ratio there?

standard eta is 9.0:1 eta block with 323i head would be the same as the 323i head uses the same shape condustion chamber.
If you slap an I head on the eta block it drops to around 7:1 ish

      thanks Ely.

That would be a nice combo, eta block, 323 head, turbo. I'll pass it on, that was an idea he had as well.

He's wanting to sell his fiat, then he'll have $$ to play with, but what would an email hurt. I'll PM you.

I think it's more like 7.9-8.0 c/r for the eta/i-head stroker. 7:1 c/r would be an unresponsive slug...especially since that low of compression isn't usefull unless you run HIGh high boost. right around 8-8.5 is optimal, so that swap should be pretty much optimal.

BTW...I see your in Indy. I'm in cincinnati right now...but come the 29th of this month...and i'm gonna try and run my car at IRP...you going? I'll have my new clutch in...as well as have the car tuned for 13psi or so...so it should be interesting. I'd like to meet up with another e30 from the area.

Ya 7.8:1 would probally be a good guese, as the 325i is 8.8:1
