    Strange problem with my E30!

I drive it home from work on friday, i park it, shut off the engine but the AC is still blowing...weird...i just turned it off manually and went inside. The car was sitting until sunday evening i tried to start it but it was completely dead...no lights, no crank, nothing. Any ideas on how the AC just decided to stay on even tho i turned everything off and drained the battery?

    any input greatly appreciated!

I put in an electric fan on my early model and have the same problem from time to time my blower motor and my radiator fan stay on. I haven't figured out what it is yet

A stuck relay, bad ignition switch, or shorted wires are the likely candidates.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i popped the hood and noticed the fuse box was real hott too. so i think its definitely something with a relay, fuse or wiring. i was just hoping maybe someone had the same problem and a solution?

You'll just have to trouble shoot the circuits and see where the problem is.

same issue, mine was ignition switch
no cash at time, sprayed pb blaster in it, let it sit, turned it on and off a bunch of times, no problem since, lucky I guess
logically that should not have fixed it, that would only fix the pins etc in the lock, but hey, it worked

your ignition switch affected your AC staying on?

If the ignition switch isn't turning off, it would affect the A/C system. But that should be obvious as the cluster warning lights would on.

yeah see thats not the issue then because when i took my key out everything turned off except the ac...so i did it manually but i guess that didnt do it... the relay powering the ac must of been stuck and still running

sounds like the relay is sticking or you have a shorted wire check your ac power
