    Miller MAF System Components?

I've been looking to put a Miller MAF on my M20 and i'm curious as to what exactly Miller sells. From my research I cannot find andy part numbers or claims as to what MAF is used other than it being a bosch BMW part. Questions are:

    1. What model BMW does the MAF come from?
    2. I assume the Miller MAF comes with a new wiring harness for that part, yes?
    3. Has Miller made any changes to the MAF they use or is it stock?

I'm trying to come up with a less expensive alternative. I don't need Miller's chip to make it work as I have access to blank chips and a programming system. I simply need to know what MAF is used and what Miller does to make it work.

Any insight into the subject would be appreciated.

I think they are referring to the sensor itself being a Bosch sensor. But the MAF housing that the sensor is in can be ordered in 3 different sizes, so I think that's a Miller part, not specifically from a BMW. No new wiring harness is included, it uses the stock BMW wiring harness plug, and involves splicing a wire at the ECU to power the MAF.

There are a couple posts and write-ups on here about various MAF conversions from E36's and such..even saw some Hyundai MAF conversions if you are just looking for a cheaper alternative.

It's miller's own. I talked to them on the phone a couple weeks ago and asked if I could use my m50 MAF with their W.A.R. chip and they claimed that I couldn't because their MAF is designed to work with their W.A.R. chip

They do not use a BMW MAF. If they did, it wouldn't be that cheap.

Thanks for the help guys. I wasn't sure if they were making the MAF themselves, or using a MAF from something on the market. I still think that an alternative can be made. I'll be working on creating a system of my own.

I plugged in the part number once and it was a VW or Volvo MAF. It has a custom plug in spot so it plugs into the factory E30 plug.

the MAF is a VW turbo MAF, however they use their own chip inside the MAF to work with the stock ECU in our cars. Brody at Miller is awesome and I would deal with him again, if you get Miller on the phone he is a dick, call back when you can talk to Brody. They sent me a defective MAF and Miller said "it worked when it left here, would you like to buy another" not exactly good customer support
