    19 lb-ers?

Can anyone confirm that these are the proper 19lb injectors that I could use on my m20? I've contacted the seller but they haven't been able to get back to me on if they are high impendance or not.

    Thank you,
    Andre

If they are from a 4.6/5.0 V8, they are high impedance.

Those look like well used single pintle injectors, that were spray painted black.. there is overspray all over them. I would PASS.

Ahhh, thanks for the heads up.

4 pintles would be 4 little nodes on the end of the injectors, yes?

Yes, specificly Bosch Design II are 4 pintle. Better fuel atomization.

The injectors that are in the car are barely enough for it stock and have a tendancy to go lean at high rpm. All the more possible if you consider that the injectors that are in the car are not exactly new.

High rpm + lean condition = detonation

Replace the stock injectors with 19lb injectors to be on the safe side.
(Especially if the car is modified or you plan on tracking it)

Is there a negative to going to bigger injectors? Runs rich/crappy millage?

There should be Bosch and Ford part numbers on them. Find them and post them. Some of them are very hard to find specs for. A standard e30 non-eta fuel pump is 3 bar. Note that some Ford injectors are rated 19 lbs at 2.5 bar and some at 3 bar. Obviously one rated at 2.5 bar is going to be somewhat higher when you put it in your e30.

You will have slightly worse mileage at high engine speed since the motor is actually getting enough fuel to make the power it's capable of. In normal driving however, it shouldn't be measurably different. The ECU adapts to the larger sprayers and will dial in the same amount of fuel as stock.

I should also note that with a stock M20B25 (only mod a K&N cone, we all know it doesn't do anything through the stock AFM) the A/F graph makes it look like the stock injectors actually did hit their limit around 5400RPM. They are old and likely not working at 100%, just like the vast majority of M20's out there.

s0- basically the 19lb'rs would be benefit with slightly lower gas mileage on high speed?...how bad is it on cruising speeds? like around 30-60.

There should be none. Only at full throttle above 5000RPM does the engine need more than the stock ones produce.
