Fuel pump buzz is a good sign of a dying pump right? But do good pumps buzz a little bit? I have to replace my transfer pump for sure but my main pump is buzzing too, just didn't know if I should go ahead and change them both. I don't really want to drop that kind of money if I don't have to, but it might be best to just replace them both.

Acceptable amount of buzz from fuel pumps?
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.Tags: None

Transfer pump you can't hear with the panel and seat installed, but you can hear it with the back seat up. The main pump has started to get pretty loud, but I'm not sure if I should replace or not. They're still working but I'm not sure if performance would be improved with new pumps.West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.

i been hearing a buzzing sound when the engine is off, the buzz sound cames from the passenger side rear near the wheel. I did some search and people said it's a dying fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump (under the rear seat), but after awhile the buzzing sound is still there. Though it doesnt buzz so often. Probably once or twice a month.
what else can it be?
