    Strange tach issues...holding @ 2800rpm?

    Short story:

Tach works for first five minutes or so driving, especially after car sitting overnight, all day, etc. Then goes to about 2800rpm, and stays there. Full WOT will drop it to flatline, any other acceleration input (or none at all) will keep it at 2800rpm, no fluctuation.

Euro cluster swap made no difference. Temp gauge works perfectly. Econ gauge inop at ALL times.

Hard wired two AA (pair) carriers to SI board. Swapped batteries with new, still no change.

    Changed DME, still no change.

    Any thoughts?

This is how it works; you buy my junk, then I will buy more junk and so on so forth etc. etc. Think of the future of your children and buy my stuff.

Try a known working SI board. It sounds like this one is bad.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
