    excellent advice.
Won't it be hard for your human ears to pick up a high pitched whine with wind going around your skull at 25-30mph? That is when the whine starts he sais.....

2004 Darwin Awards: one of the runner ups

A young Canadian man, searching for a way of getting drunk cheaply, because he had no money with which to buy alcohol, mixed gasoline with milk. Not surprisingly, this concoction made him ill, and vomited into the fireplace in his house. The resulting explosion and fire burned his house down, killing both him and his sister.

                Well, for an update:

The sound seems to have gone away all by itself. It hasn't done anything since Saturday morning.

I don't know what the f*%k is going on, maybe I was hearing things, who knows.

But to answer the question, I don't think it's engine speed related, just speed related. If I would shift up or down while it was there, it didn't go away.

I guess I'll wait until it comes back to worry about it.

                Thanks guys

i experienced a very mysteruiys whine as well, i repace my vavle cover gasket and the rocker shaftplugs today..
anyway, turned car on, and WHIIINE< it rose with rpm kinda, and i realized it came from intake manifold, i was like wtf.. i noticed it stopped only after i loosened one of the two screws on the vaccuum inlet (?) the peice with 3 screws in it and a little hose coming out of it. i still have no idea what the whine was or what could have causd it... i thought the intake mani, was like hollow lol... can anyone calaberate.
