    325i Motor mounts

Yesterday i was driving and my clutch fan got stuck and my motor was getting super hot. then found out reason why it was stuck was the plastic piece between the fan and radiator; the clip broke.

then i just broke it off and drove.. then 10mins on the road. it overheats again or about to overheat. and found out that motor mount sucks big balls and moved the motor slightly and my alternator cut my hose

so to sum it all up. Any Recommendations on motormounts?
was thinking of grabbing what silence was selling for 70w/ trans mount
    anybody have luck with his?
    keepin mind college student.

please let me know any info that is reccomended. Thanks!

    I like stock.

Also, make sure you put that fan shroud back in.

For a street car, use the OE motor mounts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If you don't mind waiting, Pelican usually has them pretty cheap.

What's the importance of the shroud? Just to keep debris away?

It channels air through the fan. The fan is less effective without it.

Guess I should put mine back on then. I thought I felt a difference, but it could just all be in my head.

Use akg 75d motor mounts. You'll get alot of nvhm for the first week, but won't feel it after that.

Yes, I know you said you're a college kid, but put these in and you won't have to worry about this happening anymore.

I cheaped out and used rubber trans mounts, and within a week one of them was messed up. Don't take that chance, eat cup o' noodles for a couple days and get them.

i used akg 75d motor mounts and oem trans mounts. its nice, and i drive the car hard at the track and boy lt makes a difference. also, if you ever wreck your car(god forbid) your motor will stay in place.
