    Which M30?

    The 535i injectors (Bosch 203) are 185cc/min.

They can fuel up to 222hp at 100% duty cycle (assuming they are flowing 100%) at 85% duty cycle they can feed 189hp or so.

    185cc/min = 17.6lb/hr

If you go with a brake specific fuel consumption of .60 which is average for a street car then you can safely get around 176hp out of 17.6lb/hr injectors.

With Mustang 5.0 injectors and a BSFC of .60 you get 190hp. Ok, back to my pointless calculations...

Thanks. So, the 4 pintles are the ones to use?

Yes, S52 use 21.5cc while an M30 would use 185cc.

                      It's lb/hr.

And yes, if you can get the 4-pintle models. Better atomization.

Were those injectors Bosch? I could not find any parts that matched your part number.

I don't know at what duty cycle those figures relate to ? 100% ? Or if they are US or Euro spec but the code it gives for the S38B35 injector match's up with the grey ones i've got that are supposed to have come from an S38B35 ?

My standard M30 injectors are coping with my engine making 245bhp at the crank with out using excessive duty cycle but i'm going to be fitting some TB's from an E28 M5 and i'm hoping to get aprox 260-270bhp ?

But i'm not sure the M30 injectors will strech that far ?

I've got the injectors from the E28 M5 to try but according to the table above they don't flow that much more fuel but must flow enough for the M5's 286bhp with a little bit of capacity in reserve ?

Sorry for tacking my questions on to this thread but its kind of the same(ish) topic.

M5 injectors are low impedance and can fry the 535i ecu if used. The ones I had in my 633csi were 24lb. They are now in our 528e and it runs as rich as a pig
