    16-17mpg on 3-4 fill ups...

    First, some background:

The car sat for almost a year. When I was done getting all the work done on it, it fired right up - and I mean, RIGHT up. It was cool. :)

When wearing in my clutch, being real gentle and stuff, I thought it was weird that I only got 20 mpg.

Now, when I'm actually driving, i'm only getting 16-17 mpg.

My air filter is a new K&N Panel and I've already got a new fuel filter.

What else should I check for too? There are no leaks anywhere. I'm just not sure what else to look at? it was fine before it sat for a long time.

I'm sure someone knows what it probably is. ;)

    Thanks!

Could the car be running too rich and thus sucking down too much fuel??? What about the plugs? O2 sensor? valve adjustment.? All these things when adjusted and new will make the car run longer and much healthier. This is the extent of my exoertise if you call it that.

O2 sensor I'm almost positive is ok. It was working fine in the other car.

Plugs, I'll pull this weekend and check them to see how they are.

Valves - not sure when they were done. i need to go get service records from the Mehcanic.

Just as a note - the car passed emissions with flying colors. But, i guess the cat and hide all that.

Just as a side note: The car had an all new fuel rail before I let it for for almost a year, so, it was basically getting good gas mileage before I let er' sit.
