Hey guys I've been trying 92 Octane which is the closest I can get to 91 Octane for my M20 motor, is it bad to run this octane for the motor. When I started using it my car would begin the sputter and have a rough idle until i got it to warmed up.

A stock M20 engine only requires 87 octane ((R+M)/2 rating) fuel. A chip, with timing advance, might require higher octane fuel.
A rough cold idle is usually the result of intake leaks. A smoke test of the intake will reveal any leaks.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
