No the bus does not go thru every sensor.

the bus links control units.

Ok thats what I thought. Because I was thinking Ive never seen a com bus going through sensors on the motor. So its basically like multiple mini plc's communicating with each other.

Think it as LAN(eg pc, laptop and printer), some untis can send orders to others and some can only send information for one action.

It all depends how its programmed right? So whats the difference between CAN and Profibus?
