e46 seat in an e30?

I think im gettin my hands on an e46 325i drivers seat. I'd like to replace my beat ass sport seat with this. Anyone ever do this?

I assume ill have to make a bracket or something.

sell the e46 seat and have your sport seat reupholstered. the e30 sport seat is much better imo.

My current seat is going to take alot of work to restore, all new leather, repair the broken frame, and maybe new foam.

Thought it'd be cool to rock a newer seat, i have access to a welder and whatnot to make it work.

Did you expect a better response? It not like you're running 1 Sparco seat and 1 stock seat here, they're 2 different stock seats. Get a hole of the passenger side and all will be forgiven. :)

If i can find another one for $100, I will. But in the mean time, this will be alot better than my beat ass sport seat.
Anyone have documentation of someone swaping e46 seats into the great e30?

YOu have a pix of your "beat ass" sport seats? ... if you do and they're restorable i'll get them from you. But otherwise i have nice sport seats on my 325e

sure, i just put audi seats in my 56 belair, you might have to modify the mounting brackets but other then that why wouldn't it work?

Im sure yours are alot better than mine. The leathers all cracked and torn on most surfaces, there's tape on it, the seat frame is broken, they fall back when you try to recline. This is just the drivers seat, the passenger one is straight.

Yeah my driver seat drops back when i recline too...i thought that was normal cause both seats did that.....well either way cause i have guy who does upholstery for me i was just curious. Leather? ......you got leather? ...ohh mines the leatherette/vinyl type.
