    Main/Fuel Relays anything special?

    Looking to find something tonite...

I can pick up a 30a in a 5 spade config for $10 bucks at the parts store...

Is there any difference between these and ones from other sources (other than brand...?) (bma pelican etc etc...)

I believe our relays use a different internal config/ work differently than standard relays with the same pins/layout. Paging jlevie...

A generic relay may work in the main, fuel, and O2 heater slots, but the correct relays include a swamping diode to prevent damage to the DME when the relay opens. The safe thing to do is to use the correct relay. They aren't expensive and can be had on-line or from your local dealer.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
