Aftermarket Temperature Gauge -- Need a straight answer

    Hi,

I've searched through many threads on the topic but none seem to have the info I need.

For a direct replacement of the OEM water temp sender...what thread pitch is needed? M14x1.5 seems to be the number floated in a few threads but I can't find confirmation.

What temperature range should the aftermarket gauge cover? It looks like 250F/120C is the standard in VDO vision gauges, is that correct for the e30?

Thanks in advance for the input.

14x1.5 sounds correct to me. A 250F gage would also be right.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
