    Windows intermittently dead

My window circuit intermittently dies. Has not been that big of a problem until it has been happening more and more lately.. especially sucks with the no air conditioning :o

I wouldn't think it'd be a fuse because they either go or don't right? Is there a relay that might be sticking? I'll bust out the manual tomorrow to start poking around but, any suggestions of where to start?

btw, thanks for the advice on the blinkers and reverse lights. Both are working now..

If the car is an 88 or later, the problem could be with an unloader relay or a bad unloader control switch in the starter.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Turn the heater fan on (when the windows are acting up): if you have a fan, it isn't the unloader circuit.

my sister had same issue in her 86 325. the passenger window would work sometimes. i found it to just be a bad connection. it was the connector at the door seal where the wires go from the inside of the car to inside the door. so try looking look at the connecters that supply power to the window motor circuit ? hope that helps

            Car is an early model.
When it's acting up I tried turning on the heat and all sorts of combinations.. nothing changed.
It's not one window that doesn't work.. it's both windows and the sunroof. It seems to be happening more often now and I've been caught in the rain and arrived out places with no way to roll up the windows. Had to put all the valuables in the trunk and disconnect the battery and lock the trunk lol

Any other suggestions? I appreciate it guys..

Page 5133-2 of the ETM shows fuse 17 (30A) runs both the sunroof and the windows.

Pull that fuse and see if the contacts are nice.
