I've been driving around with a ghetto air box for quite a while now, and I wanted some ideas on what you guys have that you think does the job. (guys with M50s would probably be most helpful to post). I have a KN cone filter. Do I want an opening up top, towards the front, underneath, through the high beam? or is there a way to take air from in front of the radiator?

Just make a heat shield that forms somewhat of an "L" shape, and boxes off the corner of the engine bay the filter is in. Should be easy to form out of plastic (Jordan was planning on making some and selling them, I think) and some weatherstripping.
