WTF is this in my trunk

So I gutted my trunk out and am in the process of pulling all the non essential wires, and I noticed a couple of them running to a control box/relay of some sort in the trunk it's mounted on the driver side, with two plugs going to it it's about 2x5 inches, anyone know what this does?? Can I pull it?? Thanks! Pics Below....

Is that the control box thingy for the active check control to check lights?

That sounds like it is the light warning module for the Check panel. Leave it in. It can be deleted, but you'll have a bunch of splicing to do to have the taillights & such work.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Could also be the stock stereo amplifier. It's mount on the driver side near the antenna.

Good thing, wait till April and then remove the SUPER heavy wires. They must be a few ounces total.

I'm not removing them for weight, I'm removing them for simplicity. The less wires and relays I have running in the car the better. Especially if they're not being used.

It's mounted behind the antenna. No wires from the radio or antenna ran to it. The box says lampkontoler.... some german crap. It's tied in with the tails some how, cause if I unplug it I lose them. Is they're a diagram for removing it anywhere?

Thats right next to where the jack goes right? If it is then my 89 definitely doesn't have that.

I no expert but to me "lampkontoler" sounds like lamp controller
