    5spd+4.10lsd=what rpm at 70?

I was just thinking about this.. and could there be a chance that the tranny in my car tha tjust exploded is a dogleg?

    It isn't even 1:1 in 5th. It's like 1.1:1 in 5th.. I cruise at like 4000@70mph..

    Any thoughts?

in my 87 325is when i had the stock 3.73 lsd, at 70 i used to cruse at exatly 3grand. now with the 4.10 i cruse at about 3800. (if i remember correctly).

i dont think it would hurt anything...

With a 4.10, you run about 3500 RPM in 5th gear, at an indicated 75. You could also do a quick search for a RPM calculater, there are tons on the net, shouldnt take you more then 5 minutes.
