Headlight temperature? Anyone?

Just wondering if anyone knows roughly how hot the headlights get after they've been on for a while.

I have a little project I'm working on and I'm hoping it isn't going to be more than 160 degrees farenheit.

Can anyone help?

That can dependent on few variables.

Low beam or high beam?, Outside temp?, has the vehicle been moving (cooling headlights)?, is it standing still?
Where on the light are you going to take a temp reading? The bulb itself will definitely get hotter than 160 deg F.
