Wiring Harness Adapter for towing a trailer

I acquired a HF tire trailer and a hitch for my e30. The only missing piece of the puzzle is the wiring for the trailer lights.

The trailer has a standard 4 pin plug. I think that I need an adapter that addresses the separate brake/trun signal light issue. Something like this: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...ci_sku=6253512

Those of you who have hitches, can you chime in and tell me what you have done on the electrical side of things?

Yep, that is the easiest and cheapest solution. The alternative would be to change the lights on the trailer so as to have three bulbs on each side.
