RPM meter gone

a few days ago my MPG gage stopped working. it would either be at zero if any gas was aplied or 50 if no gas was aplied. then yesterday i was driving and my RPM meter stopped working and my MPG gage stopped all together. So what could i check thanks guys.

i duno i had the same problem, im wondering ifs its the cluster computer, or that little chip that clips into the front of the dash, or just the whoel guage.

sorry to bring this thread back but my meter came back on today. does the fact that it came back on give any clues to what it is to you guys. thanks again.

Most likely your batteries are dead on the SI board. Its a fairly easy job to do.

Either buy and new/used one with good batteries or pull the old one out and soldier new batteries to it. It fixed mine like 20k miles ago and its been working just fine since.
