What else should I look for dealing with tranny mounts/connections? Tranny linkage? If I had the money I'd ditch the automatic since the auto is currently not getting out of neutral. Shift linkage or something isn't connected, which may be causing this. Whole engine shifted forward about an inch and a half or two. I'm glad I wasn't going too fast because the mounts were sort of sitting halfway off and I'm thankful it didn't cause more damage then it could have. Maybe engine pushing radiator through fan? That would have been fun.
Seriously, what is the average replacement time for motor mounts? Just curious if some parts of the car were as ignored as much as others by previous owners. I'm picking up two new mounts from BAP tommorrow since I want this on the road asap hopefully without any danger.
So, other then replacing these engine mounts any quick things I should check to get the tranny back into working? I honestly haven't had the time to check it out as of yet. I will tommorrow, anything would be helpful to get my baby back.
I am liable, but when the cops showed up I didn't get a ticket because the damage (to her car) was below minimal. But she is an illegal and got a ticket for not having a United States license and has lived here for six years. Thankfully she is going to my dad's mechanic and my insurance won't go up.
