Throwout Bearing - Plastic or Metal?

    hi all,

just got the pressure plate and old clutch out of the car. my question is, the new throwout bearing in the sachs clutch replacement kit has a plastic assembly that goes over the transmission input shaft, whereas the old throwout bearing was all metal. should i opt for an all-metal bearing or is the new partially-plastic throwout bearing ok to use?

    thanks in advance!

This bearing should be fine. The housing isn't under much load.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Mine's plastic, 28,000 miles on it and no problems yet. Plastic won't rust and get stuck to stuff either.
