    Door lock actuators?

Today I finally got all the locking components out of my passenger side door and found out that the problem with it not being able to unlock was that the lock actuator froze in the locked position. Anyway, on realoem it says that there were two lock actuators for the passenger side door, an early and a late, from 3/91 onwards. It says that the early one mounts to the door frame while the late one mounts to the lock unit itself. My car is a 2/92 with the actuator mounted to the lock unit. Unfortunately, the only ones I can find on ebay are the early style, and I'm sure most of the ones available out there are too. Anyway, is there really a difference or can I use an early one on my '92? I really need to know asap as my car cannot be driven as long as the door doesn't latch closed, on top of the window being removed. Thanks, any help is appreciated.

I don't think your lock can be modified to use the normal style. I had to chase later parts when I last did a '92...but it was a beautiful car and it needed to be right (customer car, too).

You could swap to all earlier style, the electrical crap is the same.

    Closing SOON!
