    M Coupe / Roadster SSK part #'s

Okay well I plan to finally do my short shift kit, and after all the different shifters I could choose from I decided on the M roadster shifter since the Z4 is way too low and others say the Z3 shifter is a bit smoother and low, and the M coupe being even lower, that would seem the best one to choose.

Anyways, I need to know what parts I'll need for the whole procedure and the part numbers. The shifter, bushings, etc...thanks for the help in advance!

And there isn't a difference between the SSK for the coupe and roadster, is there?

i personally love my z4 lever, the throws are just right and the hight is perfect. if you are worried about the hight just get a shift knob that attaches with set screws, so you can change its height

Nah I'd rather just get that shifter. I just need to know the parts and part numbers needed...

Thanks for all of the parts and numbers for the shifters! Is that all that is needed for the change for the M roadster one though? It seems like there's more from the Z3 and Z4 and not the Roadster...

          *EDIT* Thanks for the update!

One more thing. How do you install it? Is it easy to do? Thanks again for the numbers I need!

The M roadster shifter is super fuckin short. It's real notchy with the m20 trannies, no experience with an m42. The 2.8L Z3 lever is by far my favorite, the 1.8 is almost like stock and the 2.8 is still smooth and not too low, but the MZ3 is over doing it. Plus it sits much lower than the factory one, not ideal.
I have the M roadster lever in my car, and my brother had both the 1.8L Z3 and the 2.8L Z3 shifters, the 2.8 owns. It's a perfect shift, no two stage bullshit, like I get with my M roadster one.
Also, the M roadster lever will sit almost just as low as the Z4 one.

                anyway, that's my .02

That I did not know! Well I think that this one will be fine, I can live with it. I can always switch if need be. But how the hell does it go in?
