fog light lenses

Just got my car 88 325is and the fog lights need some HELP.

The lenses have some pitting and are not clear.

What have people done to remedy the plight of their
fog lenses? Find new units or buy replacement lenses.

I tried searching but didn't come up with anything.

Wet sand the living fuck out of them starting from a rough grit to a smooth.
Take your time, do it right and don't rush, or you won't get results.

Dry.

Clear coat.
