steering wheel loose, light clunk noises

I can here a light clunk when I go over a bumps. If I move the steering wheel side to side quickly I can hear a light play as well.

Does this ring a bell?

if you car has an airbag, there is a nut on the steering column that can be tightened up to stop the rattling, i had the same thing in my car.

put a big ass wrench on it and turn the wheel clockwise (i believe) and it will solve your issue.

I found the nut. That's what I was wondering, given that it is in the middle of the stem I'm not sure in which direction it will tighten up.

So I guess I will do clockwise.
