    Lost Hood Release Screw

Can't get the hood opened because the interior hood release handle is missing the screw. Can anyone tell me the size and length of the screw?

You should be able to get it open without the screw. When I had my interior apart I was able to.

You can open the hood from the grill with a long screw driver. Just to the right of the radiator you'll see a round opening about 5/8" in diameter with a slot in the object behind the hole. Stick a screwdriver in the slot and twist.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

^ Listen to Jim. And if the hood wont pop forward, just try giving it a tug while you twist the screwdriver.

I get that, but does anyone KNOW the dimensions of the screw/bolt? Trying to sell my e30 and looks suspect if I'm opening the hood through the grill.
