You're gonna fuck up the weight balance and make it tail happy. :)

Depends which rear seats you have.

If you have the leather/vinyl/fabric covered foam ones, those weigh like 5lbs. I'd rather keep their good looks, then see a ugly spot where the seat was when its only 5lbs.

        But thats just fun.

yeah i have the foam covered in cloth. no leather but i'd probably keep the seats in just because like you said Jordan they just dont feel like are very heavy at all and i dont want the empty area back there too. Not on a DD

Not to mention spare tire, the tar in the trunk (if he has it), etc. That's a good bit of weight out of the rear.

I'm the moron? How do you add lightness?

I've heard the weight of the car.

Adding negative weight = Adding Lightness

It's a joke, play on words. Some find it funny. Not the first time I heard that either.

RBBJ, have fun throwing $$$ at a stock stroke M20. And ansa exhaust?

                        ...

I'll correct myself, have fun throwing $$$ at the M20 period.

Ordering a bunch of parts from BMP and bench racing is not bang for buck.

Can we start an actual list of best for budget mods?
                        1 ) JC Chip if you have a M20, M50, S50, etc (not M42 as much)
                        2 ) 19# / Larger AFM - cheap mods, nice gains
                        3 ) Suspension - stiffer, lower
                        4 ) Summer-only tires
                        5 ) Light, wide wheels
                        6 ) Performance brake pads
7 ) Suspension - kill body roll: sways, braces, etc
                        8 ) Shorter final drive
                        9 ) Driver

Yes, I got what he was trying to say. But off what you said, taking away isn't adding anything (b/c there's no such thing as negative weight).

for all the nerds: it's all a frame of reference issue. you could have negative weight....... ;) but never negative friction.

How could you have negative weight? That's like saying you can have negative area.

Weight, gravity is subject to a frame of reference. If you turn the world upside down, and up is down, then the gravity would then be pulling this upwards. If an outside observer would be watching, an object would be falling "up".....or really down, yeah. 8)

On the other hand, friction always opposes motion, and never encourages movement.
