Rattling

I have an 87 iS and whenever it's under acceleration it makes this rattling noise coming from below, and i think from the rear. sounds like something metal is being rattled or scraped against something else metal.....but thats all i know. and when it's idling it makes the same noise but it is very faint. any ideas/help?

I know it's stupid, but check your wheel bolts.
Then start with the guibo and center support bearing.
Then drive shaft.

That is usually the culprit.
