    Front Subframe

I need a new front subframe for the M. Was wondering if all of the E30 subframes were the same. I have heard that even though throughout the years there are different part numbers they all are the same part. I am pretty sure that regular E30 front subframes are the same as the M3 subframe but want to make sure before I purchase one. Also is there a difference between airbag and non-airbag one?

    Thanks,
    -Alex Shiroma

That is actually a good question. I recall reading that Ireland Engineering has two different sized front strut braces, due to the fact that the front unibody was slightly different in some model years. That is what they claim in their advertising. Now if this has anything to do with the subframe too, I would like to know also.

IE bars are two different lengths because some owners cant feel bad that their POS cars have stretched over time.
There isnt two lengths, the strut towers just move over time.

No, the front subframe on the e30's and e30 m3's are different. They are more beefy, but the regular e30 ones will work if you want to go that route.

From your sig your putting in an s50, if I was you try to get a e30 m3 front subframe for the added weight/stress.
