Accidentally overfilled tranny fluid to 1.5L

As title states, me being a genius overfilled the tranny fluid in the Getrag 260 to 1.5L, and not 1.25L (the correct amount).

Is 1.5L bad for the tranny? 0.25L doesn't seem like much, but still want to get your opinions.

    Thanks

I would try and drain some out, the amount is what it is for a reason. I would assume too much fluid would cause excess pressure inside the trans as well as probably cause the fluid to foam up. Not an expert, just what i think

      manual trans or automatic?

Manual trans= remove fill plug on the side and let whatever drains out, drain out since the proper level is when the fluid is filled right to the fill plug.

automatic= check the dipstick with the engine running and the transmission "cold", check the cold level, if its too high then drain and retry. The hot level is the only real accurate way to check auto trans fluid but automatics get pretty pissed off about being overfilled so you might not want to drive it enough to get it hot if you have an automatic.
