odometer troubles (not the gears)

replaced all 3 gears in my VDO and still won't turn when driving. i tested them by hand and they work fine, so i'm guessing it's something to do with the coil magnet motor? oh, also, will a VDO odo work in a moto car? the speedo does work when i plug the vdo in, but maybe that has something to do with the miles not counting? this is my spare cluster and i'm just trying to get them both spinning.

When you replaced the gears were they broken?

hi, I am facing the same problem, mine was working for some time but now it stopped working, I havent opened it yet, if any one can give a good solution it would be very useful for me too.

I had the same issue, drove around for a bit then boom it started working again. We'll see if it's permanent, only put about 50 miles on it so far but it's rolled up every one of 'em since it came back to life.
