    Lights on Reminder

Probably a dumb question. Just purchased an 86 for $300. As I begin to fix everything that the kid destroyed, I was wondering if it should make any type of noise when I leave the lights on or the key in the ignition??

    Any help would be appreciated.

Currently i hear nothing. I guess im wondering what it should look like. Its missing the entire bolster under the steering wheel, which is where im thinking it should be, but this kid really messed stuff up.

Oh wait, you're wondering if it should make a noise because it doesn't?
Or is it making a noise because it shouldn't?

Mine annoys the crap out of me if I leave the keys in it, and laughs at me if I leave the lights on.

there is a gong that attaches to the bolster panel that will drive you batshit if the keys are in the ignition and the drivers door is open. other than that, no nanny features to speak of

Correct, your car does not chime to remind you to turn off the lights.

The speaker is built in to the panel thats clips above your feet. I disconnected mine becuase I hate that noise when you leave the door open.

Do you think just installing new fenders and doing some hammer work to get the grill lined up would do anything?

I used to have that feature but then it somehow stopped working.

By feature, I meant door dinger.
