Will an Apexi AFC work the same as a SMT6 for MAF Conversion

Just like the title says, these things are very easy to obtain for like $250 on ebay. Since the AFC is also a piggyback, would it be usable for a MAF Conversion?

if you can condition a 0-5v signal, then yes you can. just make sure the apexi can read the rpms/throttle position of the e30.

Do you have any more info as far as the wiring goes? I have a bosch unit from an M52 I believe. Got it for free, no pigtail though. I know the SIEMENS is supposed to have a closer voltage signal to the stock afm? Is an additional TPS necessary?
