    M20B25 Idle Rev?

    Never Came to me but whats idle rpm?Mine is at 1k or line just barly touches 1k. My car runs fine other then clicking(valve adjustment needed)

    When the car is warming up, the idle should be around 750-800. Once warm, it should be a steady 600. This is the situation with my car.

    Also, clicking could also be your injectors.
    Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
    Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
    Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
    Mark: "You never will."

      As I recall, idle on a cold engine should be close to 1000rpm and should drop to 750rpm once the engine approaches operating temperature.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        possible icv? as for clicking i will check on the injecs but i think its valve adjustment or? do we have hydo lifters?

          I mean, some injectors are just noisy and it means they are getting old. Nothing a good cleaning can't fix. Also, adjusting your valves could not hurt since the valvetrain is the weakest point on the M20 (in my opinion). So put them in spec, too!

          But no, M20s do not have hydraulic lifters.
