Hood Wont Open

Hey ,
so I tried to pop the hood this morning and it just wouldn't open. Ive never had this problem before with the car.

Now the Question is how do I go about getting the hood open?

What parts would I need to fix this problem?

With the release lever at full extension the cable is tight but just wont release.

Look for hood release slot in Drivers side grill next to high beam headlight , Stick a long screwdriver in slot and turn clockwise. GL
