    How to remove "heater box"

I've taken everything out of my car inside except the wiring and this. How the heck do I get this thing out? There's about 20 phillips screws all over the thing, but none of them look like they hold it down, just together.

I also have a euro model, with add on ac, so the blower is part of it. Anyone help out? Gotta get it out and change my heater core asap...

You can change the heater core with the box still in the car, it slides out from the drivers side. It's the rectangular area of brownish orange plastic, held in by 3 screws. Just pull the pipes and those screws off and it slides out.

Well, you answered my question. Trouble is, I didn't get deep enough into it to get the full answer ;) That's my fault. I need to take the whole thing out, as I'm going to put a USDM box in there with USDM factory ac. So I need the whole thing out...

For that you have to pull the whole dash out. Then pull the panel in the engine bay out. There are 4 nuts behind that panel and a few nuts in the interior after the dash is out, then its free.

Yeah, dash is long out :) So the panel in the engine bay has some nuts too, good, that's something I didn't think of. I'll take another look at it. Thanks man.

I was wondering the same thing for a while, but then I noticed the 4 nuts by the blower motor... Tah-dah!
