My lock solenoid is seized and I can't lock or unlock the drivers side door. Has anybody attempted to take out the solenoid and convert it into just a manual lock? I don't care if I have to reach over and lock the passenger door.
Remove the door panel on the driver's side and disconnect the solenoid to make the lock in that door purely manual. But I'll bet that the solenoid isn't the problem and a rebuild of the lock is required.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
