Is this bumper trim an american part?

I found this picture on another forum but i can't find anything out about the bumper trim with the bmw bit in it. I know the amercian e36's had one but i never knew about an e30 one - i cant find a part number either. Or is it an e36 part grafted onto the e30 trims?

Anybody able to enlighten me abit?

If you drive your e30 on stairs, you're gonna have a bad time.

I thought that it might be a grafted on bit from an e36, but i thought it could be a possiblilty of being an oem part. I can't find it on bav autos site mind :(
