    Battery less SI Board

I just took the Si Board out of my Cluster and found a New Battery less SI Board. Has anyone seen this? Are they any good? More expensive? This only works once in awhile are they all like that. Should I go back to the regular battery board. Any opinions are welcome please---Steve-

Go to Radio Shack and buy a two-battery "AA" size battery holder. Solder on some longer wire and then solder those leads to the SI board where the batteries go. Be sure to observe polarity!!! Then put the battery holder where you can get to it under the dash. If your batteries die again you'll be able to change them without tearing apart the cluster...

Has anybody ever heard of the Battery less SI Board?
It has a 2002 date on it. Looks slick.
Anybody know how to test it?
