Would putting a MSD system into an e30 be beneficial? Or does bmw already have its own version stock? mainly thinking about it on a 325is.

My opinion is that if you don't NEED one, you don't need one.
Yeah, probably a better idle and that's it. Now if you have 15psi going through your engine, I would get one.
Don't forget to re-gap if you do. Sometimes people forget.
Post an update when you have it installed. :o

Well, ive done it, so ill comment. Imo, unless you have aquired one, or can get one cheap dont bother spending your money. It helped smooth idle on my eta, but the 'e' is slightly different from the 'i' in terms of engine software. Other than that, no hp increase, no visual spark improvement looking at my plugs, and no noticable increase in fuel economy. I took it off because my ignition system took a crap probably due to vibration that killed the msd box.
