Instrument Cluster's Crapping Out

Within the last few days, all of the following has happened to my cluster:

• Speedometer stopped working
• Odometer/Trip Meter stopped working
• Fuel Gauge Meter jumps around like crazy
• MPG Meter stopped functioning properly
• Brake lining light comes/goes off with tap to cluster
• Tried reprogramming the service lights; didn't work, still yellow/red
• left hand side of cluster lights go out every so often, come back offf
• Then I tried removing everything, and broke both Triangle top tabs

Anyone know how to remedy some of these problems?

Get a different cluster.

Buhh i cayn't. That's going to cost a bunch, and I want to have a correct mileage reading.

Sounds like broken solder joints on the cluster itself. You can take it apart and try to reflow any broken joints. Danny is right though, your best bet is to find a good working cluster and swap over your odometer if your worried about keeping correct mileage.

I have a question about this, will any year cluster fit?

I am replacing my cluster for my 84 318i, I can use a 1990 325i cluster?
