Does anybody know the part number of this part. I searched the ETK, but could not find it. Also, is there supposed to be a clamp on the end on of it, it does it just slide onto the nipple underneath the throtle body?
It just slides onto the nipple coming out of the TB.
Cool, I thought for a second that I was missing something. Anyways, it has some cracks on it and doesn't hold onto the nipple very tight. Do you know the part number, or what I can tell the part guy I need?
If its just the rubber that's shot, just pull it off and use a regular length of fuel line or something similar. It's a cheaper route than buying a more expensive part that serves the exact same purpose.
It has to fit over the purge valve though. It's wide at one end and narrow at the other.
I would try a hose clamp first though. You can cut a small amount of the cracked rubber off of the end of the hose it's still long enough to reach. Air leaks here will cause rough running and idle problems.

Yes I know, but take the rubber off of the valve and you will see what I'm talking about. I really don't understand why BMW used that relatively elaborate rubber part when a regular hose will work exactly the same.

Classic over engineering. There must be some reason for it though.
