First cold day and she won't start

    Typical ol' German broad.

Any the battery appears to be ok and she cranks but reeeeeaall slow. So AAA came by and tried to jump her. I had no choice but to take it to the AAA driver's service station, cause my regular guy is swamped today. I just want to make sure they are not going to give me the runaround, so if anyone has any suggestions as to what it could be, that would be helpful.

    Thanks!

Slow cranking can be caused by a worn starter, but is more often caused by an aged or low battery.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yup problem solved. Got a new battery, starts fine now. However, it turns out that the alternator is charging pretty low, so I'm going to have to get that taken care of pretty soon.

If the alternator is charging, but not producing rated output, the cause is frequently worn brushes or a bad voltage regulator. If the alternator bearings are good (remove the belt and spin the pulley to find out), the voltage regulator can be replaced a lot cheaper than replacing the alternator.
